How do I save a word from another app?

Long-press the word to select it, tap Share in the pop-up menu, then choose WordHaul. The word lands in your bank along with the app and page it came from. If WordHaul doesn't appear in the share sheet, scroll the app row to the end, tap More, and enable it.

A word saved without a definition. What happened?

Definitions arrive a moment after the word does. If a lookup fails — spotty connection, or a very unusual word — the word's row will say so, and its page has a Retry lookup button. Genuinely-not-in-the-dictionary words simply stay yours, undefined and proud.

Where do my words live? Do I need an account?

No account, ever. Your words live on your device. Private iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac is on the way — it will use your Apple ID's own iCloud, not a WordHaul server, so your words stay invisible to us.

How do I back up or delete my words?

Settings → Export words saves your entire bank as a JSON file you can keep anywhere. Settings → Delete all data permanently removes everything from the device after a two-step confirmation.

How do reminders decide what to show?

WordHaul favors the words that are struggling to stick, using each word's stickiness score. You set the daily rhythm and quiet hours; a global daily cap keeps it gentle. Notifications are created on your device — turn them on or off any time in Settings → Reminders.
